TeamLEAD at Duke-NUS

This is a wonderful video showcasing the TeamLEAD curriculum and instructional method at Duke-National University of Singapore Medical School. They believe that medical education should be comprised of more than just rote memorization of facts — they believe it should “critically examine facts and build creative thinking skills”. This video showcases an innovative and rigorous team-based learning platform called TeamLEAD (Learn, Engage and Develop) and  features students and faculty working together with an innovative spirit which represents a new training paradigm that is more effective for learning and understanding difficult concepts.

This student-centered pedagogical approach at Duke-NUS, which puts the primary responsibility for learning on students, was designed to incorporate team-based learning from the very first curriculum development.
