Associate Dean of Instructional Development
Harrison College is seeking an Associate Dean of Instructional Development to manage its team of developers ensuring quality development of the portfolio of associates and bachelors programs within the college’s six schools of study. This position also manages and delivers all training needs for the ID team and develops and implements appropriate design methodologies and process, and implementation timelines. In addition, the Associate Dean of Instructional Development co-manages the internal implementation team for KnowU, Harrison College’s proprietary social learning platform.
This position is based out our administrative offices located in Indianapolis, IN.
Build and lead high performing instructional design team to support student learning objectives, employer and workplace needs, college operational goals, and strategic plan.
Develop, implement and evaluate appropriate processes and workflows to track course and program development progress, including relevant communication channels to engage a variety of stakeholder groups across the college.
Institute project management discipline; develop and maintain strong external relationships with external subject matter experts and course design experts and publishers.
Collaborate with the national deans in developing metrics for performance surrounding launch of new programs and review process of existing courses; establish benchmarks for team performance and for content development timelines to drive and support college’s data-driven decision making.
Minimum of a Master’s degree in education, instructional design, business, or a related field and a minimum of eight years of instructional design experience. Required experience: personnel and fiscal resource management; project management; learning management systems; contract and vendor management.
Instructional Development Manager
Harrison College is seeking an Instructional Development Manager who will be responsible for the design and development of new courses and programs, and revisions of existing courses, within an assigned School of vertical. The role includes heavy emphasis on project management of internal departments and processes and external subject matter experts (SMEs), publisher partners, and other content vendor relationships. Internally, this role collaborates with the national dean, learning resource centers, and faculty development to ensure seamless integration of quality content delivered through multiple modalities.
This position is located out of our administrative headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.
Serve as internal and external project manager for new course development and for course revision
processes, managing schedules, contractors, budgets and resources and communication channels to ensure implementation of quality content delivered within scope, timeline, and budget.
Design, create, and develop online and on ground courses; manage projects to ensure timely delivery, effective use of department resources, and quality of deliverables in accordance to Harrison College standards.
Collaborate with internal/external subject matter experts and other team members to design and update program curriculum.
Incorporate feedback from employers, national workplace trends, students, course evaluations, subject matter experts, and other departments to revise and modify courses as needed in collaboration with the national dean’s direction for the School of.
